Canine Atopic Dermatitis (allergic dermatitis)

T-Cell Receptor Peptide Therapeutic Vaccine Technology

IMULAN BioTherapeutics, LLC has initiated a multi-site placebo controlled trial to evaluate the effects of their T-Cell Receptor (TCR) peptides for canine atopic dermatitis (allergic dermatitis, atopy).  The TCR Peptides are immune modulating biologics which have been shown to modulate T-helper cell function and Th1/Th2 cytokine profiles.  This immune modulating effect is thought to be a key central target for atopic dermatitis, which is well known to be associated with T-helper cell dysfunction and Th1/Th2 cytokine alterations.  Preliminary studies in dogs have shown promising results in advanced, refractory atopic dermatitis.  Current regulated field trials are underway.
