T-Cell Receptor Peptide Diagnostic Technology

IMULAN BioTherapeutics, LLC has developed an ELISA based test that can evaluate serum for the presence of antibodies against specific TCR peptides.  In previous studies, these antibodies have been shown to correlate with autoreactive lymphocytes.  It is postulated this new ELISA that may be associated with certain diseases, including atopic dermatitis. 

The test is designed to:
a. screen patients and perhaps provide early detection of atopic dermatitis
b. screen patients that may be candidates for the TCR Peptide Therapeutic Vaccine under development
c. correlate treatment interventions to understand effects on immune system and TCR related antibodies

This test is undergoing validation and correlation to canine atopic dermatitis (atopy, allergic dermatitis).  The ELISA is scheduled to be available from IMULAN Laboratories in 2010.
